Takiyama Park

This is a famous cherry blossom spot located near the center of the city.
Somei-yoshino and double-flowered cherry blossoms are in full bloom from mid-April to early May. The park is equipped with playground equipment, and on weekdays, you can see aircraft taking off from Matsushima Air Base of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force as well as Blue Impulse training flights.
