Kamiwarizaki

A scenic spot on the border of Ishinomaki and Minami Sanriku. It consists of two strangely split rocks (it is said that a god split the cape in order to mediate between two quarrelsome villages) that create a splash of seawater as the rough waves rush in between them. It is also a spot where you can see the clear waters of Sanriku up close. In mid-February and late October, you can even see the sunrise between the rocks.
